“MasterChef Junior returns to FOX on February 9”

MasterChef Junior continues to maintain its position as one of today’s top culinary competition shows. On MasterChef Junior, children between ages of 8 and 13 compete for $100,000 and the MasterChef trophy. This show displays their advanced culinary skills through mystery box and team challenges.

According to Variety, 7 million viewers watched the season 4 finale of MasterChef Junior. Here, 9 year olds Addison Osta Smith and Avery Kyle were featured as the youngest finalists in history.  Addison and Avery’s parents talked about their incredible talent during the finale. Addison’s dad mentioned that his daughter is passionate and focused; she is a sports champion with many trophies. Avery’s father described her as a fast learner, as she learned how to ride a motorcycle in 3 days. At 6 years old, Avery prepared delicious lamb chops with rosemary and pepper.

Addison Osta Smith (@jrchefaddison), from River Forest, was crowned the season 4 winner. At 9 years old, Addison became the youngest winner of MasterChef Junior. Addison appeared on Wall Street Journal’s Lunch Break interview with Tanya Rivero. During Wall Street Journal interview, Addison said she enjoyed the MasterChef Junior experience. Addison told Tanya that she would love to become an actress someday. She then cooked cheesy potato waffles.

Addison made a television appearance after her MasterChef Junior win. She was featured in The Late Late Show with James Corden‘s “Steak Diane” segment. This video now has over 700k YouTube views. Addison taught James Corden, Rosie O’Donnell and Nikki Glaser how to cook the Steak Diane recipe. James congratulated Addison on her MasterChef Junior win and asked her what she’d do with her $100k Prize. Addison responded by saying that she would invest the money into college, water parks, homeless shelter, and her very own bakery business.

Runner up Avery Kyle (@AveryKyleRocks) was also 9 during the MasterChef Junior season 4 finale. Avery is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and she enjoys hunting. Avery Kyle is an ambitious chef with a big personality. Someday, she would love to pursue an acting career.

Avery and Addison made history on season 4 of MasterChef Junior as exceptional chefs and finalists who have bright futures ahead of them.

MasterChef Junior is a true fan favorite. This television series has received nominations at the Kids Choice Awards as well as the Teen Choice Awards. MasterChef Junior has also received a nomination from the Television Critics Association. MasterChef Junior returns to FOX for its fifth season premiere on February 9, 2017. It will air on Thursdays at 8:00pm eastern time, which is 7:00 pm for those who are in the central time zone. If you are in the mountain time zone, MasterChef Junior will air at 6:00 pm. For those who are in the pacific time zone, tune in to FOX at 5:00pm.

 

Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi will be judges on MasterChef Junior’s fifth season. Wolfgang Puck, Martha Stewart, and former first lady Michelle Obama will be featured as guest judges. Stay tuned.
