“Krispy Kreme launches limited-time Chocolate Glaze collection”

Krispy Kreme has launched a limited-time doughnut collection. In an exclusive interview, FOODNLA received the latest news from Krispy Kreme. Here’s the scoop:

Krispy Kreme’s new chocolate glaze doughnut collection is re-introducing four popular fan-favorite flavors with their signature chocolate glaze. FOODNLA interviewed a staff member from Krispy Kreme to get the latest news about their new collection.

FOODNLA: What flavors will be in the Krispy Kreme chocolate glaze doughnuts collection?

Krispy Kreme: Our new collection has four new flavors. They are the Double Chocolate KREME™ Filled Doughnut, the Double Chocolate Cake Batter Doughnut, the Chocolate Glazed Raspberry Doughnut, and the Oreo Double Chocolate Doughnut.

FOODNLA: What are the fillings and toppings in each of the doughnuts?

Krispy Kreme: All doughnuts in this collection are made with a chocolate glaze. From January 14-17, we will be serving four new flavors to our customers:

• Chocolate Glazed Cake Batter Doughnut: This doughnut is filled with sweet cake batter and chocolate icing. It is made like a cupcake and topped with sprinkles.
• Chocolate Glazed Oreo Cookies & Kreme Doughnut: The whole doughnut is made entirely of chocolate and filled with Oreo cookies and cream. This doughnut is topped with Oreo cookie pieces and chocolate icing. 
• Chocolate Glazed Raspberry Filled Doughnut: This doughnut is filled with raspberry jelly. It is covered with a chocolate glaze and an artistic red icing swirl. 
• Double Chocolate Glazed Kreme Filled Doughnut: This doughnut is filled with Krispy Kreme’s signature white KREME™ filling, which resembles the texture of whipped cream. It is topped with decorative stripes of white icing.

FOODNLA: Which Krispy Kreme doughnut is your favorite? Do you have a favorite?

Krispy Kreme: Yes. One of my favorites is the cinnamon swirl. Right now, it’s the cinnamon swirl. It’s a new doughnut that’s been here (on our menu) for two months.

FOODNLA: Describe the inspiration behind Krispy Kreme’s chocolate glaze collection.

Krispy Kreme: The Krispy Kreme chocolate glaze doughnut collection is inspired by new year’s resolutions for diet plans. Most people believe diet plans are stronger with a cheat day. Also, people are going crazy over chocolate especially because Valentine’s Day is coming up. Everything about the Valentine’s Day theme is about chocolate.

FOODNLA: That’s brilliant! What message do you want to send to your customers?

Krispy Kreme: We want to give customers the gift of happiness through doughnuts. Our mission is to make the most awesome doughnuts on the planet. Also, we recommend that you try the new chocolate Oreo doughnuts (from our collection). They’re really good!
